“A delightful book, perfect for reading aloud.” “Margrave’s charming offering is short but sweet. His verse scans well, and he provides images beyond simple descriptions…”, “Some terms are fairly familiar…others are less so, but wonderful, such as “crash” of
rhinos or “blessing” of unicorns.”  - Kirkus Reviews

“[my daughter] LOVES this book. I mean…she seeks it out, calls it “Fur and Feather” and wants us to all sit to read it together. It’s over the top adorable.”  - The Unfiltered Mommy Blog

“I also really like that this book illustrates how animals have close and connected relationships with others just like we do. This concept is presented in a cute and catchy way to help foster respect and empathy for each other and animals as well as the importance of family to us.”  - The Right-On Mom Blog

“When you have one kid who loves to be read to and one kid who’s learning to read, reading practice becomes a great time for sibling bonding. Even more so when the book being read is all about groups or families of animals. When Fur and Feather Get Together is the newest addition to my kids’ home library and it’s one I love seeing my son read because it teaches how beautiful family really is…It makes my heart melt.”  - Making Time Blog

  • ★★★★★ Julie O. Koelsch - "David Margrave, a new children's book author, arrives on the scene with a book chock full of heart, soul, and educational value. He dedicates his first, of many I hope, book to his children and the child in us all. This father's love can be seen on each page. From an artist's standpoint, the book should be opened wide so both pages can be read as one; each page seems to be a canvas filled with the animals' group names and beautiful illustrations. Congratulations also to the illustrator Kim Wyly. I look forward to the next book by this gifted team."
  • ★★★★★ Cindy - "How better to introduce a child to animal communities than with this beautifully illustrated, warmly written story. From a gaggle of geese to a crash of rhinos everyone, including unicorns, will feel it a blessing when sharing When Fur and Feather Get Together."
